Zoloche International Lyceum is a modern system of bilingual education. We use the best educational methods from Ukraine and the UK to create the conditions for learning in an intercultural European environment for every child. The philosophy of the institution is based on a democratic approach to each student when the interests and opinions of the child are a priority. As we not only create the conditions for learning but also take an active part in revealing the talents and strengths of each child who has become a member of our community.
At the Zoloche International Bilingual Lyceum, children have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in two world educational systems, developing not only English language skills but also deeply studying subjects by Cambridge International requirements. The Intellect Ukraine programme complements this experience by taking into account the unique aspects of the Ukrainian educational system.

Our lyceum is defined not only by high academic standards but also by the individual needs of each child, allowing them to discover their talents and interests. Located in the green, picturesque town of Zoloche, the private lyceum provides round-the-clock safety and comfort for students, including transfers and balanced meals.
Our lyceum is highly appreciated by hundreds of parents, and the Leader of the Year 2017 and the Medal of Honour from the Organising Committee of the National Business Rating are evidence of the recognition of our work and academic achievements. Choose Zoloche if you are considering prestigious schools in Kyiv - we offer quality education according to the highest international standards.
Bilingual education
Daily immersion in the English-speaking environment works much more effectively than traditional foreign language learning at school. The bilingual system at Zoloche Lyceum combines two programmes: Intellect of Ukraine and Cambridge Primary & Secondary international programmes.

This symbiosis is achieved through a combined approach that allows you to study subjects both according to the Ukrainian state curriculum and the international Cambridge education system.
According to the latest research, bilingual education is the best model of education in the 21st century, which contributes to the formation of effective intercultural communication in school-age children. The principles of bilingual education are the basis of the Zoloche International School educational system.
Bilingual education allows students to feel comfortable in a multicultural space.
Education based on the principle of bilingualism is an opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge in one of the world's leading languages without losing touch with the best traditions of your country.
In-depth study of foreign languages at school will allow a child to not be afraid of barriers of misunderstanding in the future. It expands the vocabulary, increases the level of communication skills, and contributes to the development of a culture of speech.

Some courses are taught in Ukrainian and some in a foreign language, which allows you to think and learn in English without mechanical translation into your native language.
Introducing the basics of bilingual education at an early age is more effective. It helps children to be open to new things and eliminate all possible barriers and stereotypes. This approach to education is actively used in Germany, Finland, Austria, and France. In addition, bilingualism-based curricula are beginning to be used in universities and colleges, which has a positive impact on a person's future professional activities and opens up opportunities for practice, education and life abroad.
How bilingual education takes place at Zoloche Lyceum
Zoloche International Lyceum uses the best model for quality and multifaceted education - bilingual education. In primary school, we use a dual system to lay the foundations of the Ukrainian curriculum in parallel with the basics of English. When students have a good understanding of English and know the terminology of the basic subjects of the Cambridge programme, then the methodologists of the Ukrainian and Cambridge programmes revise the curriculum, harmoniously combining the International Cambridge Primary, Low Secondary, IGCSE and the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education of Ukraine - "Intellect of Ukraine". In fact, in secondary school, the programme of educational bilingualism begins, when a single curriculum is used in two languages - English and Ukrainian.

Interactive learning
Active learning methods are a modern and effective approach to acquiring knowledge. Interactive involves the student's participation and involvement in the process. For this purpose, not only the standard lecture presentation of material is used, but also visual aids, tablets, projectors, and simulators. During the lesson, business games, dramatization, and collective discussions are actively practised. Interactive learning allows for deeper learning, the development of creativity, and the stimulation of the desire to learn.
Інтерактивне навчання дозволяє глибше засвоїти матеріал, розвинути творчі здібності та стимулювати тягу до пізнання.
